Have your say on surveillance pricing
Surveillance pricing is the ability for businesses to change prices on an individual level based on personal information. The use of algorithmic pricing models like surveillance pricing could erode consumers' bargaining power by supercharging businesses' ability to charge consumers unfair, excessive or discriminatory prices.
Because you can’t see what others are paying, it’s hard to know if and when you might encounter it – and there are currently no laws to prevent it from occurring.
CHOICE is investigating surveillance pricing and AI, and to inform the next steps of our campaign we want to hear what you think.
