Electric vehicles have the potential to benefit our health, hip-pockets and the environment, but we need to make sure the government's strategy leads to a fairer, more accessible electric vehicle market for all consumers.

Australia is one of the only major economies without vehicle fuel efficiency standards in place or under development. Introducing fuel efficiency standards have helped other countries reduce fuel costs, reduce transport emissions and increase the variety of electric vehicles available.
